Well, it’s official. This post now makes me a “teacher blogger” (hold for slow clap)...
The bad news? I have no idea what I’m doing.
The good news? I’m going to have fun figuring it out. And I’ve got at least you as a reader so far, so I’m on a ROLL!
If you know anything about me, it’s that I love organizing, planning and cleaning. And by organizing, planning and cleaning I mean I’m a Type A, control freak, “can’t leave school with the book bins crooked in the library” type of teacher.
Sometimes it’s a blessing and sometimes it’s a curse.
BUT, I’m also the kind of teacher that procrastinates grading, makes spelling mistakes ALL the time (I’m sure there's one in here somewhere), and takes home a bag of work the size of Texas just to let it stare at me while I drink wine and watch Grey’s Anatomy for the 4th time.
I'm not perfect & will never claim to be. Sometimes holding yourself to a standard of grace is the best you can do.
I decided to start blogging because I want to share ideas with other teachers & maybe even shed some light on teaching for those that aren’t in the greatest profession in the world…
